About us
Yorkshire Children’s Charity exists to make things better for children and young people across Yorkshire. Founded in 2022 by Charlotte Farrington and Annabel Robinson, the charity began at a kitchen table with just £7,000.
Today, our small team of 15 has raised £10.8 million and supported 73,500 children living with a disadvantage be that due to sickness, disability or financial hardship. From practical essentials and specialist equipment to wheelchairs, grants, days out and opportunities, we help children feel included, valued and able to learn.
We are driven by our passion for children and families, and by the strength, kindness and generosity of the Yorkshire community and hundreds of volunteers who make our work possible.
Our Values
Every child should have the support they need to succeed. We respond to real need, focus on practical action and keep the children and families we support at the centre of every decision.
We are open, honest and consistent in how we work. Supporters can trust us to explain where funds go, while children, families and referral partners can rely on us to do what we say.

Our Team and Trustees
At Yorkshire Children’s Charity, we believe in a flat structure where hierarchy never gets in the way of doing what is right for children. Everyone has a voice, and every decision is guided by what is in the best interests of the children and families we support.
Our team and Trustees work together, pulling in the same direction and sharing a collective responsibility for our impact. Trustees provide strong governance and oversight, while also being there to support, challenge and enable our team to do their very best work.
