Cyclists to traverse the length of Europe in record-breaking charity challenge

This July, Yorkshire duo Martin Mansell and Hamish are joined by world-class endurance cyclists Mark Beaumont and Jenny Graham to take on a world-record ride cycling the full 6000KM length of Europe in the fastest time possible.

The Challenge

In July 2026, the Race Europe team will set off from Nordkapp, Norway, the northernmost point of mainland Europe, and ride all the way to Tarifa, Spain, its most southern tip.

The route includes:

  • 24-hour daylight inside the Arctic Circle
  • Remote northern roads and sub-zero temperatures
  • Endless windswept plains
  • Major Alpine climbs
  • The heat of southern Europe
  • Relentless elevation and back-to-back ultra-distance days

For the riders, it’s a test of resilience, teamwork and mental toughness, fuelled by purpose and the two charities they’re riding for.

The route takes the cyclists from the Arctic to the Mediterranean

Over the course of two weeks, they’ll ride from the top of Europe to the bottom, back-to-back days, pushing their limits for charities that change lives.

The Cyclists

Mark Beaumont – Guinness World Record-holder for cycling around the world twice. African record holder from Cairo to Cape Town. Has led expeditions in over 130 countries, filmed documentaries with the BBC and GCN, and published six books.

Hamish Graham – Experienced racer with over 15 years of competitive cycling. Competed across Europe as a junior and elite racer. Completed Ironman Barcelona, the Dales Divide ultracycling race, the Leeds-to-Nice charity ride, and the Three Peaks Cyclocross.

Why this Journey Matters

These four incredible cyclists are pushing their limits all to raise as much money as possible for two charities (Yorkshire Children’s Charity (us!) and the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation)

“For the third year of the Yorkshire Beast Trilogy, going bigger every year and targeting a 6000KM world record ride across Europe this summer, I’m over the moon to be supporting the Yorkshire Children’s Charity. I’m hoping to raise a significant amount of money that will make a difference for them as well as promote their good causes around our fantastic county of Yorkshire” Martin Mansell
