At the heart of every Yorkshire Children’s Charity campaign is the creation of meaningful moments for children. An Easter egg is about far more than a £2 chocolate treat; it gives teachers – often the most trusted adults in a vulnerable child’s life – the chance to show that child they are cared for. It’s about creating a moment of magic and connection, reminding every child that someone is looking out for them, no matter who they are or what else may be happening in their life.
This year, we want to create that magic moment for 19,000 children. But we can only do that with your help.
In the words of one of our teachers last year, an Easter egg is “something that some people take for granted but was a real treat for our children and to see the joy and delight as they picked the one they wanted was priceless”.
The easiest way to help us to deliver as many Easter Eggs as possible to children across Yorkshire is to donate directly through our website.
