Yorkshires. Residential Real Estate Award winners announced

Yorkshire’s residential property sector’s leading professionals and trailblazers gathered at New Dock Hall in Leeds on the 8th October for the annual ‘The Yorkshires. Residential Real Estate Awards’.

The event celebrated the region’s standout agents, individuals, projects and developers

Hosted by television presenter and broadcaster, Angela Scanlon, the event celebrated the region’s standout agents, individuals, projects and developers, while also raising vital funds to support some of Yorkshire’s most disadvantaged children.

The awards were hosted by television presenter and broadcaster, Angela Scanlon.

The awards event helped to raise an incredible sum of money for Yorkshire Children’s Charity, supporting children in the region who are at a disadvantage due to ill health, disability or financial circumstance. This includes helping to fund the charity’s ‘Warm, Dry and Ready to Learn’ winter support campaign, which this year is supporting over 2,300 primary school children living in destitution with essential winter items, from a warm coat and shoes to bedding and toiletries.

Charlotte Farrington, founder and CEO of Yorkshire Children’s Charity, comments: “As a charity, the support we receive from the Yorkshire residential sector is crucial to making our winter campaign and other project work possible. With child poverty rates at their highest in twenty years, the need for our work has never been greater. We have committed to helping every child that was put forward to us by schools as being in critical need of winter support because it was the right and humane thing to do. However, we made this commitment without having raised the funds to do so and as a result, are facing a huge shortfall.”

The winter support campaign is not just to meet immediate needs but also to reduce the barriers preventing vulnerable children from achieving their full potential. Last year, 80% of the schools involved with the campaign reported an increase in attendance as a result of the support received.

One school said: “Receiving winter essentials has had a profound impact on improving the well-being of children and families at our school. These provisions have alleviated financial pressures on families, ensuring that children are warm, and ready to learn. By addressing basic needs, we have seen an improvement in attendance, engagement, and overall morale among students.”

Yorkshire Children’s Charity would like to give thanks to major sponsor Gowlings WLG sponsors, Edward Architects, Hampshire Trust Bank, SCP Transport, DS Emotion, Zenko,Walker Morris, Vistry and The Yorkshire Post for their involvement in The Yorkshires. Residential Real Estate Awards 2025.
